Does the Zone System include the Restricted Zone and the Twilight Zone??
Pro Image said:Even simple introduction needs money, time, place and your super valuable percious time. :sticktong
singscott said:IT could led to other thing like intro to your other courses or a detailed zone system course? No problem I guess it is all about $, then sorry to bother you. My time is very percious as well.
Pro Image said:Hi I see your posting volume is only 5 posts. I hope you do not mislead some of the newbies into your own zone. If you are not serious about this thread please refrain from posting unrelated topic or as CS members would call it OT = Off the Topic.
Your full coorperation is needed here. Thanks
Pro Image said:thank you for your help but i would rather conduct on my own. thanks! no bother at all.
Pro Image said:1Eh me providing space and venue? I think not for now. I rather conduct ZS for those who newbies... Not me. I can help those newbies just to let them know the fundamental basics and let them decide for themselves whether they are interested in the ZS. I rather give them a preview before joining the course. With a fee of course!
2 student, I am sure you have enough retirement fund to live up to a 100 years old. For me, I am still young and still looking for more $$$. :bsmilie:
3 ZS is not a system where you just stop half way and give up. It's quite tedious and need plenty of time and effort to produce your Zone V. For now if I do conduct a course, it will be for the newbies only. And of course there is fees involve.

Well Singscott and I will persist in conducting the workshop, as long as there is interest. And we will direct it at the newbies. And it will be for free. And we will show that good information and instruction does not come from "pros" and fee paying workshops/courses.

rueyloon said:I've been quite interested in organizing a zone system work shop.
my instructor told me a very compressed version would still take quite a while to go through. It involves calibration and understanding all the way from your equipments to the final part in the dark room.
if you guys are interested you may contact me at rueyloon@36frames.com I'll see if I can get something going on.
The instructor is pretty young, she's just back from the US with an advance diploma in fine arts photography.
cheers

Is Zone Matching same as Zone System????
http://konicaminolta.com/products/consumer/digital_camera/slr/maxxum-7d/05.html
cos i am wondering should i forget about the ISO and use Zone matching instead?
singscott said:Err Zone matching is not zone system . zone matching is a program but zone system is an approach or a discipline :sweatsm:
student said:Would your instructress care to join us and teach in this non-profit workshop? We will be delighted to have her give us the full works. Some may want this.
Personally I do not bother with the entirety of the practice of ZS. My objective is a simple understanding of the ZS and exposure. Most photogs will be using roll films, and much of the testing may not be terribly useful to roll film holders.
But for those who want the full works..... a properly trained person like your instructress will be most valuable!
