Any idea what's the retail price of the ZF50 makro by the local shops?

Hello everybody from a new member.
I use a D3 and my current AF-S Micro Nikkor 60/2.8 doesn't satisfy me for portrait photography and medium to long distances shots.
I would like to know if the ZF 50/2 is suitable for general photography and mostly for portaiture?
Thank you for your feed back.

Guys need some advise... Will u sell off the Zf 85f1.4 for a 100f2? :dunno:
Although only 15mm apart, I II find 100mm frequently too tight. Focal length and subject matter more than the arri design. I wud save the money for more ZF maybe coming out at sep photokina. there are several contax zeisses still missing from ZF lineup.
60 is a nice length for portraits. How come no good for portraiture ? If u already hv 60, maybe shud think about the cream puff voigt 58 1.4 SLII. Best of both worlds
Hello FortyNine, Thank you. I don't really like the rendition of 60 2.8 for portraiture! I read in Photozone that the Voigt 58 1.4 SLII overexposes by 2/3! Is that right?
From all that I gathered, I believe that I shouldn't go wrong by getting the 50/2...
its a "perfect" lens. can't go far wrong.
the voigt guy says 1st batch of 581.4 hv this overexposure issue. all sent back to factory to re-program chip FOC. 2nd batch onwards okay. Personally, think 58 1.4 is a zeiss in "disguise". Its manufactured on the same ZF line. Cosina copied many secrets from Zeiss.
how can anything be better than zeiss ? :bsmilie: even long time zeiss-rival photographers ( i.e Leica) also " kow-tow " to zeiss.
I wish they introduce a f1.2 though. then we'll have the fastest, sharpest, baddest lenses in the SLR universerse !
