With the same technology, same manufacturer & same number of pixels, a bigger sensor will produce lower noise at high ISO.

F31fd sensor size is 1/1.7", 6.1Mpixels
Z5fd sensor size is 1/2.5", 6.1Mpixels

You figure out yourself, which one will have better noise at high ISO?:think: But the most importantly is are you satisfy with the result from Z5fd? Knowing that F31fd will be better performance, I still go for Z5fd is because of its size, and Z5fd is good enough for me, if I want better picture, I use my Nikon D80.

So you have to weight what are you looking for in a camera and decide which is suitable for you. With bigger size of F31fd, it also have much superior battery life (much bigger battery). Cost is marginaly difference.

think you will do fine with a Z5.. this camera is not too thick for ladies and functionality wise it is probably up to your expectations too
and if you like pink.. this is 1 of the few models in the market with a pink colour to its body

i went lookfor old fuji F series like F401 and f450 is size is smaller then z5 too
allthought it dont have those gimmek like face rego and stablizer

i find it picture quality is notbad too

i still own my old Fuji f401
is pic is not bad at nite too
