I just got my Online order! I'm joining the PTE function tonight organised by Warrior!

Craig Bellamy will attempt a football kicking stunt in Singapore on Friday - and there is a $25,000 donation to charity riding on his success.

To celebrate the launch of our new 2012-13 home kit on Friday, Warrior is inviting Kopites from the city state to watch Bellamy kick footballs from the second floor of The Fullerton Hotel onto a bumboat stationed on the Singapore River.

If enough balls connect with the target 30 metres away, Scafé - whose eco-friendly fabric was used in the design of the new LFC jersey - has pledged a donation of SD$25,000 to the Craig Bellamy Foundation.

Liverpool supporters are expected to arrive in their droves for the event at 12.15pm local time on Friday, which Bellamy is participating in as part of his role as an ambassador for our new kit maker Warrior.

Before he steps up to kick, Score Tonight presenter Renai Mattu and LFC fan Henry Han will also have a crack at the stunt.

As well as helping to celebrate the launch of our new home kit, Bellamy is also hoping to raise awareness about the tremendous work being done by his foundation.

Rodgers: I couldn't reject Liverpool
June 1, 2012

New Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he simply could not refuse the chance to be part of a footballing "dynasty'' at Anfield.

Rodgers, who leaves Swansea after a compensation package was finally agreed with Welsh club, takes over from Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, who was sacked last month.

"For me, the only way I was going to leave Swansea was for a big club, and I mean a big club,'' Rodgers told the South Wales Evening Post.

"It was an extremely, extremely difficult decision because my plan was always to stay here at Swansea for a number of years.

"I have always been up front and honest. I have always said that I wouldn't be here forever and that one day I would go, but I honestly never thought the opportunity would come round now.

"In my life and in my football, I have been very happy in Swansea. But when an opportunity to work at a club which is more than a club comes round, it's a professional challenge which is too good to turn down.

"Liverpool are one of the dynasties of the game. They have won five European Cups and their status is up there with AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.''

Rodgers won praise for his attractive style of play at Swansea and initially turned down an approach from Liverpool before it became clear he was their preferred target.

He added: "I turned them down once out of respect, because I didn't want to go into a process and disrespect anything about Swansea. When they come in a second time and make you their number one target, then you have to think.

"We have seen over a number of years that the number of British coaches who get a chance at the big clubs is very few. When those opportunities come, and they may come only once, you have got to make a decision.''

Excerpt from Rodgers' interview on LFC website:
"I'm really looking forward to it. I spoke to Steven Gerrard last night. That was fantastic, I had a nice chat with him. I have always worked well with people. To me, it's doesn't matter whether they're big stars or not, the club's success is the most important and every player I work with will have to be a part of the team. There are some wonderful talents. If you look at the likes of Steven; Jamie Carragher has been a wonderful player for this football club; you've got Pepe Reina, who's a top, world-class goalkeeper, and many other talents within the group. I always have a close relationship with players. I speak very openly and honestly with them so they know where they stand. I like to educate players. You train dogs, I like to educate players both on and off the field."

What the !@$%! is "You train dogs"?!!
