Yeap, in those days, only got Temasek green but the one used for drill are like cardboard and extra drill was full battle order with starch Temasek

It was fun reading from all these contributors. It made my day. I don't suppose anyone here remembered the Isreali instructors or when you went cutting grass with your pen knife.

Er..... what's MR?:dunno:

MINDEF Reserve.

For people who have finished their ICT cycle but is younger than 40 (non-officers) or 50 (officers).

No need to go for in-camp anymore, but still can be called (unlikely) up for NS.

Let me give two more:

When you can remember using a flat aluminium tray and blue ceramic plate for meals even before a metal tray.

And when you avoided Inche Samsuddin like the plaque whenever he came your way.

and during standby bed the NCOs will throw out stuff not to their liking - flying boots, mess tins, beds...

damn....i'm old :bsmilie:

Hello sbs99, did you also go to SAFTI for your BMT? Anyway I don't know of any big shots but I know plenty of " boh boh kings" who wished they were big shots in the range.

dang...the only thing I've not used is the AR-15...I"m old liao :(

i had it once, the instructors say its a special menu. I fed it to the dog in the canteen while nobody was looking... it's just some rubbery mee siam plus cold gravy. :bsmilie:
