have you ever wonder maybe she is complaining about the shooters here is because no CS members has ever tempted to shoot her or organize a shoot for her? :dunno:

but frankly many of us here agreed with most of the things she blogged about some of those "freelance event-shooters" and those "bikini/lingerie specialists" ...

i believe most shooters will shoot other *things* than her...

want to stop looking like perverts? take pride in your model shots. show singapore that you're more than someone looking to capture a huge quantity of model shots like it means something. show singapore that more portrait photographers in clubsnap are serious by producing shots of a certain quality, and stop saying that 'it's just a hobby, why should i?'

if it's just a hobby, and you have a genuine passion for it.. certainly everyone has different levels of talent and vision; everyone is constrained.. but the difference between a constraint and a trap is often a matter of choice.

:thumbsup: so if photographers still insist on joining those group shoots, at least have a goal in mind of what you want to achieve that day (and hopefully that goal is not to get some XMM's number) PLUS, i always feel that there should be QC before you post up your pictures on the world wide web. IMO, post nothing but your best. anything which is not your best should be kept in your own PC for self-reflection purposes. (unless you want to learn from C&C, but i see alot of people acting all defensive when people give them C&C which actually makes the initial purpose of posting the pictures on P&P section LOST)

So if a certain bad photo (he might not think it's bad) is posted but the photographer genuinely wanted constructive C&C, now it ended up in XX's blog accussing him to be a pervert, where does this put him? Try to improve his shots so that people will think "hmm, he's not a pervert afterall"?

I might not be good but i certainly do not think all the photos she posted are bad or distasteful. A simple caption is enough to distort the whole thing and make it a perverted shot... along with the 'perverted' photographer.

well, what did you think of the examples of the photos she chose, do you think what she says is true of the people behind the lens?

If i have a colleague who dun like me and think I'm a b*astard, it doesn't matter to me.

But if he goes around telling people I am a b*astard, yes it does bother me, especially when there will be people who do not really know me and believe in what he says.

frankly speaking, her photoshopping skills beat alot of photographers here hands down.

ya i think its true.. plus how many people are as shameless as her to the extent of slamming and insulting people openly? and she does have a pretty good sense of humour i have to admit :think: (but not for this latest post, i find it kinda lame like as if she was trying too hard)

anyway sometimes its reading blogs like hers that reminds me that sometimes we have to remain real.. (how ironic)

To be fair, at these model shoots, there are photographers and there are GWC, you cannot deny that. As for whether someone is there purely for his/her own photographic aspiration, or to snap pictures for his 'self gratification' purpose, only that person knows.

That said, the pictures that XX showed, do support her point, although she is biased in her views.

Just look at all those people shooting at SIN, and you'd get the pictures. I seriously don't think that all are there to practice photography. Just look at the majority of the threads that featured pics from SIN, juts how many actually are pics of cars? And then there's so many 'nosebleed like crazy' type of comments, just how many are looking at the pics of these scantily clad models and think about composition, lighting, ISO, exposure, aperture, etc?

This is not jut the views of XX, my wife thinks like her too. She labelled the photographers at SIN as desperate and losers in life privately, and I'm sure many girls think likewise, but just don't comment out loud like the motor mouth XX.

We guys know best what we guys are made up of : we love those pics simply because many of these babes are hot, and they get us hot in our pants as well. Just admit it guys, there's really no need to justify.
