if you watched BGT,

only simon cowell made any sense there.. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

sorry, wasn't paying attention to simon. but the hot-babe judge....yeah!!!!

:bsmilie:

hmm. i think simon cowell can actually be nasty, because he already has developed a name for himself, in spotting talent. So even if he isn't entitled to be nasty, you'd still give him some leeway. Well, i'm not a fan of xiaxue, BUT i've been to such shoots before and I agree with her blog entry

you were at the shoots as a model or photog?

if i had been innocently SMSing on my handphone at some EXPO event, just minding my own business, and this foulmouthed blogger called xiaxue uses my photo without my permission, blanks out my eyes, draws an ejaculating penis beneath my left hand, and scribbles the word "wankers!!!" next to me, and insinuates that i am a lecherous wanking tiko photographer in front of her 30,000 daily blog-readers, should i care?
:)

well, yes, that you should care.

that guy really looked like he was taking photos though!

you should see the sunshine tracy set.. got one damn win with handphone camera in picture aimed at her exposed areas.

you're racist too! :bsmilie::bsmilie:

Who isn't? lololl :sweatsm:

I like this thread man......24 pages in less than a day......Lets see how long it will go to :p

what does GWC stand for?

I hope a famous blogger should post a blog posting of her blog's post about CS. :dunno:

let's see.

out of so many replies here, most of it is focusing on:

1) whether xiaxue is pretty or not
2) whether xiaxue has done nose job or not
3) whether xiaxue wants pictures taken about her
4) whether xiaxue can be a model herself
5) whether xiaxue is jealous

blah blah blah, all ad hominem (attacking the person) attacks. minority of the posts are addressing the points she made, which i already mentioned earlier.

the original argument is buried.

if i have a clear conscience as a good organiser who isn't selling sex,

if i have a clear conscience as a pure photographer who is really appreciating beauty instead of taking the chance to look at flesh on display,

if i have a clear conscience as a model who isn't out to make a quick buck off lechers..

who cares what xiaxue thinks of me? :)

Agree with both..

How come so few see the humour in this? aiyah just have a good laugh at it lah.

Well if so,you are entitle to sue her.i say why not?you might stand to win a brand new set of set up if you win big...she puts no disclaimer on the pic she uses so is very suggestive.if she had caught a lawyer or doctor in those shots..i am quite sure she's in for some real fun.her mike won't even be able to save her.this will not be her first time to have brushes with the law.

which actually is a display of the lack thereof, but never mind! :bsmilie:

It's not how XX thinks, it's how the general public will think.

As one of S'pore most famous (or notorious) blogger, her words definitely have influence on the public, somemore it's direct links and pics specifically pointing to CS, not some implied message for people to guess.

Dun care is as good as accepting what she says.

Just like if you're wrongly accused with your photo posted on STOMP, can you just dun care because you know it's not true?

actually, as singapore's most notorious blogger, no one is going to take her seriously except, apparently the people she targets.

i think we are all thinking people, and most singaporeans know at least one hobbyist photographer, especially with the number of dslrs spilling around. as to whether they are really in it for the nosebleed factor, or for a genuine interest in the art;

1) pictures speak for themselves

2) the person's actions speak for themselves

just because a famous blogger somewhere decides to label a particular group that DOES exist within our community as perverts, do you think singapore as a nation is going to brand all photographers as perverts?

i think it's high time we start caring about what we do, how we act, in our personal conduct; rather than what name we present to the community. that has always been and will always be my point - that actions speak louder than words. be it our own words, or others.

want to stop looking like perverts? take pride in your model shots. show singapore that you're more than someone looking to capture a huge quantity of model shots like it means something. show singapore that more portrait photographers in clubsnap are serious by producing shots of a certain quality, and stop saying that 'it's just a hobby, why should i?'

if it's just a hobby, and you have a genuine passion for it.. certainly everyone has different levels of talent and vision; everyone is constrained.. but the difference between a constraint and a trap is often a matter of choice.

 so if photographers still insist on joining those group shoots, at least have a goal in mind of what you want to achieve that day (and hopefully that goal is not to get some XMM's number) PLUS, i always feel that there should be QC before you post up your pictures on the world wide web. IMO, post nothing but your best. anything which is not your best should be kept in your own PC for self-reflection purposes. (unless you want to learn from C&C, but i see alot of people acting all defensive when people give them C&C which actually makes the initial purpose of posting the pictures on P&P section LOST)

have you ever wonder maybe she is complaining about the shooters here is because no CS members has ever tempted to shoot her or organize a shoot for her? :dunno:

but frankly many of us here agreed with most of the things she blogged about some of those "freelance event-shooters" and those "bikini/lingerie specialists" ...

wat is exactly wrong with being a weekend hobby fotographer who join shoots along with good buddies, to joke and have fun in their favourite past-time?

and now they have the added pressure of having so much restrictions on attending a shoot and actually having some 'goal in mind' when most of us are just out to have a good time?

what u advocated might be good for some, but definitely not all.

ridiculous! as for sharing of fotos online, some are just interested in sharing and have no need for extra comments.

so jus enjoy the fotos and keep the comments to oneself.

we are the ones paying to join the shoots and since it is a leisurely shoot where we can pursue and indulge in our passion, fotography, why should we give ourselves so much added pressure and stress when we are already so stressed out at work from mondays to fridays?

we are just guys out on weekends to enjoy fotography with our buddies. why complicate matters?
