Xf 18-55mm review

i think its a bit unfair to compare a zoom to a prime....and even more unfair to compare it to the unusually highly rated 35mm prime =P

however, the entire planet earth is playing the unfair game

Anyway i played with the zoom and COMPARING with the 18mm prime, the center sharper is indeed better for the prime. for sure there will still be market for the 18mm prime for those who knows how to appreciate it.

I've been trolling this thread for a while waiting for the XF18-55 to launch. Now that it's finally here, the cheapest I've found for the body + zoom kit + 16gb sd card is $1786. <not sure if it's appropriate to state which shop but so far, all the prices I to have been CS recommended shops. >

Wondering if anyone has a better price or any advice to wait?

Looking to get a half case + top cover and an eye-fi x2 pro as well. Anyone has recommendations?

Was just at ms color. 18-55 kit lens will b sold separately from next month onwards at 1149 sgd. 14mm will b out in jan 2013.

Wow. For those who prefer zooms to primes, much better off buying the kit over the lens only.

Nopez. He just said dec n mentioned d price. So guess it makes sense to get d kit lens set at 1799 sgd here at ms color.

it costs 699 USD so to charge 1149SGD seems ridiculous even after you convert to SGD + GST..

singapore like that one..I bought nexus 7 from bhphoto total around S$360.. no gst. it was for 32gb version.. Spore was selling 16gb version for $399 but recently they lowered it and start selling 32gb for $399.

may consider getting zoom lens online since got international warranty.. I think
