Agreed. The EVF is wow too. Feels like using a highpoint vf! There is sill a little tiny bit of lag between shots .. Pretty much the best in the current market though compared to my a7r.
They truly improved on the EVF. But it's still not as good as Olympus or Sony IMHO.
And to keep harping on the notion that "no other brand gave you this sort of EVF before Fuji" by the presenters yesterday... I kinda felt that they were trying too hard to sell the camera to newbies. Thumbs down on that part treating customers like idiots.
But overall. Managed to test out the camera. I would say that it doesn't give me the same "damn this is fantastic" feel as my A7R, but still it's a fantastic camera to have if you understand the legacy of fujifilm and enjoy manual shooting
I am considering the XT1 as one of my first foray into mirrorless (amongst others like the A7/R), in which way(s) are the Fuji EVF less capable than Oly/Sony?
Also, less fantastic in which way? The focusing? Its built quality? Image clarify? For those who went for the preview yesterday, do share your opinions!
It seems a little dull to me, although refresh rate is fast like Olympus and Sony.
I guess it's the weight. It feels too light and the grip is a little small.

i suggest you go down to the showroom at funan to try it out. with exception of a few of us who had the privilege to try out the X-T1 extensively before the launch yesterday, probably any opinions offered here are highly subjective, based on the few minutes of hands-on time yesterday. if you really want to get a good feel of the camera before committing, it would be wiser to go and try it out first. in any case, the fuji showroom at funan is pretty cool abt people trying. no one is gonna disturb you or pester you. really.
also, each manufacturer has their own formula regarding the implementation of EVFs. if you really have to compare, it would be fairer to comparer within the same brand rather than across brands. FWIW, the X-T1 is a couple of steps up compared to my X-E1, from built to the AF speed and EVF. fuji colours/image is uniquely fuji. most users would like to claim that fuji cameras just give better OOC jpgs. based on my own experience with fuji cameras (from the days of S2pro...) i do like fuji images. then again, this is personal taste.
bottom line - just go to funan to try.![]()
Wow. Same price as Full Frame Sony A7.
The IQ will need to be as good. APS-C vs FF.
a fellow forum member allowed me to use his letter and I bit the bullet...the deal looks too good as they show RRP but still good as the 27mm is quoted to me in SG for 599. the XC tele is not too bad either according to few published reviews so should come handy for certain areas
I guess the sales area will be flooded with xc 55-230, 27 and 18-55 lenses in March![]()
the letters are unique in a sense as they have serial numbers thus I would be surprised that a dealer who produced the letter would accept a photocopy, as someone wrote many left the letters there without intending to use and it would have been great if they would have taken them just to make people here happy
