X-T1

after checking pictures after pictures, videos after videos, here are some of the things which i think Fuji can improve on the X-T1: 1. built in ND filter - since the fastest shutter is actually not that fast, ND filter should really help 2. a lot of people complaining the ISO dial, but i would instead comment on the exposure compensation dial. it should be sinked down and stay flat with the top plate, this will allow easy access to the record and Fn button, those buttons are now seems to be hard to reach at times. 3. wonder will there be a chance for fully articulated screen (like those in Canon) instead of the current one which is just useful in landscape direction 4. Fuji has almost nailed everything for photography department, perhaps is time to venture into videography a little and adding in more features

Agree. Audio out too!

Fujinon lenses and colors are great for video (tested w the XE-2). But the lack of audio out makes it less useful for video.

Perhaps they don't want to pose as a big threat to the competitors yet.

their focus is on true photography, not video. That why people who use Fuji systems dun need to edit photos most of the time. Fuji colors and white balance are accurate to the dot. They have to be because they made film rolls in the SLR era.

if you are looking for video, u should look at Panasonic GX7 or GH3

So what are you gg to say when Fuji comes out w more video features?

i'm not sure will they make better video functions for future models, however by looking at their product lineup, they are very focused into photography quality, yeah.. just purely on photography, they are so good into still images until APSC feels like Full Frame.

for me, i dun take videos with fuji, i rather use my Note2 for video taking.

have you guys checked the sample images on fuji site ? Not sure if it's because of my old eyes but they look very noisy and unsharp. Some look like either dirt on sensor or lens (see last pic in 14mm), the second in 18-55 I think is too soft and again noisy. Unfortunately the X-E2 samples don't have much low light or people.

I hope those are poor samples, after eying on x-e2 now I'm eying on xt1

I have checked. Nothing spectacular but not that bad as u described leh. Samples images looks like those from XE-2.

Anyone has the link to their raw files? I like to see the raw file images. :)

lack of manual control for video too and the moire is horrible.

I am really not certain if their history in film has any bearings on their digital cameras, perhaps except the in-camera film simulation filters.

Wah! That bad ah?

I did test video on XE-2. I thought the video was good , sharp (compared to my D800). Haha...

Quite agree!

I don't see white dots but did see a dust in sensor for the fisherman picture. That may also show no editing is done on the pictures.

see here left side sky and water and top middle area 2 black dots (they don't look like birds ;) ), actually there are a few with these black spots

Edit: just noticed you have to open image in new tap for full size view

not sure if it was mentioned before but I like Keith :ow's example shots though he has no low light shots but they look sharper (maybe edited though)

Thanks for sharing...

Indeed the noise imho is intolerable... :(

Cant make up the dots, but its there. Can be removed with PS easily. But the noise... Oh my! Its _____.

Asians tend to prefer brighter pictures than our caucasian counterparts. Over exposed pictures are deemed 'good'. The western world prefers proper or pictures that have tonality and richer colours (done through under exposure).

My two cents.

nice pic. thanks for sharing. How do you intend to remove those dots?

I m intending to get a Fuji n use for long exposure also :)
