Tried it but didn't like it, although many of our bros here seem to do. Also tried the hand grip but found it too troublesome to access the battery compartment. For me the Gariz half case provides sufficient grip, protection and easy access to the battery.

I am opposite, looking to sell gariz

so quiet here these days, has everyone switched over to the X-E1 already? hope am not the only loyal X-Pro1 user remaining lol!

in case someone here managed to snag the 18-55 zoom, would you mind posting a pix of it mounted on the XP1? am really curious as to how the combo looks like.

thanks in advance!

Just got a used xpro1 from BnS. Sad that the viewfinder is so much smaller than the x100..... A specky really need a big viewfinder to see clearly. Coming from dslr the focusing is fustrating....but the fuji colours is really stunning!

Hey hey I still love my X-Pro1. Tried the X-E1 (my boss bought one), still love my X-Pro1 much more as it feels sturdier and more solid. The X-E1 has a lot of plastic on it.

I was anticipating the XF zoom, but initial reviews kindda indicate that the XF18 prime delivers better IQ than the zoom so that kindda killed my idea of owning one. Now just sit down and wait to see if anyone wanna let go their zoom for cheap.

So far I have gathered from CS; someone bought the XF zoom for $1k+, then this morning someone sold his brand new XF zoom for $800! :o Got a feeling used XF zooms gonna be priced lower than used XF18 once ppl start to trade their zooms for other XF primes.

the only way the xp1 is leaving me is when you pry it off my cold dead hands.

hey thanks bro! my the lens looks huge, especially with the hood on. the photos taken look really good though. do i see some moire on the tv speaker grille, or it's just my bad eyesight. not surprising for a sensor without any AA filter.

same observation here, i'd rather wait and look at the 10-24 zoom next year. the 18mm is my current workhorse.

i find the viewfinder's size good enough, and am wearing glasses too all the time. i switched over from the nikon d3s with a really huge viewfinder, no issue for me.

hmmm, do you press your spectacle lens against the rubber(will leave stain marks on spectacle) or leave a distance behind?

i do both, depending on the surrounding lighting. never notice the stain marks anyway while shooting, only after. i actually don't mind them at all, i just wipe my specs afterwards.

but if your specs have high power, then i guess it might be irksome to keep wiping them.

New member reporting! Just got my x-pro1 and xf35mm today. After half an hour meddling with it, I think this is gonna be my walkabout and traveling camera. Since I got a full range of Contax N (EOS converted and original N mount), I have ordered the EOS-FX and N-FX with aperture control adapters to make full use of my current Contax N Carl Zeiss glass with Fuji body. Hope that the adapters arrive soon!
