Glad you like the lens Daniel.

Used to play with the 12mm on the xp1 before but sold it as i didn't like the ultra wideness and the fact that it is f5.6 !
Din't notice any colour shift in my copy last time. It worked flawlessly with the xp1 even with the Kipon adapter. Maybe its the fact that i got a good copy of the adapter, no play and very accurate infinty focus even at f1.1 ! Some adapter even some VC ones don't focus accurately at infinity, either front or back focussing. Have to check before you buy !

Anyway settled for the much smaller LTM 15mm instead and that is my wide angle lens for now. I feel it does not give that exaggerated wide angle feel of the 12mm (that i disliked) while still being an ultra wide. With the XP1 and its High ISO i can live with f4.5 haha.

Nothing beats the joy of shooting with a real rangefinder IMO, and the xp1 getting less use nowadays :bheart:

thanks bro for getting the lens for me; yup I have been loving the CV12 since I got it. I always prefer to have a UWA in my bag.

One thing I like about this lens is that it does not require much focusing as almost everything is in focus at 12mm@f/5.6. Just point and shoot.

Strange enough, I tried my boss' M9 (with his 35cron and 50lux) and I still very much love my x-pro1. By the way my boss just got the X-E1 together with the m-mount adapter this weekend, saying that his M9 is difficult to focus. Well, everyone has their own shooting style. :)

M9 requires learning and practising, and for the 50lux on it, you will need to get a 1.4x magnifier lens to focus if wish to shoot really sharp pictures.

Once you learnt how to focus on the rangefinder, it is more fun and satisfying....

Maybe I still have good eyes or the fact that my rf is 1x magnification , I can focus the 1.1 nokton fairly easily w/o a magnifier.

Even better my 40mm f1.4
Although I would think the mag would help... haven't tried one myself yet.

Agree with Zoomz.
I feel there is a simple, fulfilling joy shooting with a real rf, irreplaceable by anything else.

But still keeping the xpro for times when you need the af, say when you only have 1 hand available where it is almost impossible to shot any standard lens.

Just sharing info. But I think the hood will somehow block the about 20% of the OVF. Not a problem with XE1 as its using EVF.

U buying, bro?

You should have bought it when you were in HK lol. Now must camp at BnS or ebay.

Fuji's commitment to the X series has been awesome so far. I am glad I made the switch. :)

So did I. Cheers.

My boss has the 35cron and 50lux... Trust me, they are no comparison against our XF35.

Yes the adapter converts your camera to a m-mount body.

I bought a JJC M to XF adaptor some time ago and finally took it out to test today... I can't seem to magnify the image to get the focus point spot on, is that possible with the latest firmware? TIA

You have to change to MF for the magnification to come up.

Oh yes of course, thanks man... think i ate some silly pills!

If you have not updated your X-Pro1 to the latest firmware then you are missing out on the 3x magnification..
