I have the screw on hood also but need to put filter so dun quite like it..
You want to buy that twist-type rectangle hood? I find that easy to come off.
Why not try screw-on ones. Such as this below:

Actually, the rectangular twist on/off lens hoods that came with the XF lenses are most effective is cutting out stray unwanted light and flare. But if you have other considerations, then other hoods may be more suitable.
I hv always shot the XF lenses with the original rectangular hoods. Pretty happy with them.
