Just updated my X-Pro1 and lenses (35+60mm)

On first few minutes of testing:
- Card write speed definitely improved quite a lot [Using a class 10]
- Extra Auto ISO not very useful
- Autofocus does not seem THAT much faster. Most of the improvement are from shifting focus between similar distances and for further distances (>1.5m). Macro focusing didn't improve much IMHO.
- 3x mag definitely useful. Also what is good is that the camera remembers the last used setting. If you leave it at 3x zoom, then the next time you activate the magnification function again, it will be at 3x zoom.
- Focus by wire system improved. Dont have to turn that many rounds anymore, but it is still quite a few rounds to turn for the 60mm. From MFD to infinity: 35mm (~1.5 rounds) 60mm (~3 rounds)

FYI you got to redo all your camera settings again after you upgrade. Might want to take note of what your settings are before you upgrade.

1) before the "upgrade", i can press playback button and the image will be displayed immediately. Now i have to wait for approx 1.5 sec then i can press playback button. If i press it immediately after i snap a photo, no display action at all. downgrade in this aspect.

2) the AF is improved, but the before-release reviews are all over-hyped. got improvement, but not that BIG improvement. however i can live with slow af.

the rest of the improvement are really noticeable.

Yeah ... Permanent marker with extra fine tip.

Using a Pilot brand permanent marker with extra fine tip. Just try draw over the text and immediately rub over it (with finger) to remove the extra ink. Works perfectly. Don't hold me responsible for any damages though.
