Just had mine done. $450 for 1 lower wisdom tooth, and $50 for the medicine.
I think the molar in front of it also gone case.

So do remember to visit the dentist for regular checkups, and brush/floss/rinse ! Better to spend time doing it than the pain and $$ spent later. *oops, slightly OT*

Mine was done by Dr Steven Ang from Shenton Dental. Highly recommended cos Dr Ang
is a very nice dentist, cute and gentle too ;)

4 wisdom teeth extraction costed me $2K+ as need to undergo GA. Luckily my
company and medisave helped to foot the bill, I just pay the GST thats all. Although
the bill is extremely expensive to some but it really worth every cent, dun forget wisdom
tooth extraction is no small deal, can even cost one's life if not done properly.

Just got mine done. Not much pain for now but later, not sure. Blind folded as I also don't want to see so much tools ard me, haha! Tooth extracted out into 3 pieces and I kept them. Now waiting for the numb effect to go off. :(

Just confirmed I need to go for extraction... Now arranging appointment. Will cost $30 each for dental students to extract for you... Hope it goes well... There goes my plan of finding another holiday job...

dental students....hmm....@ NUH?? Thinking mine are to be extracted one day... can stand other kinds of pain more than dental..hai...and I've no medical benefits now leh..

Mine cost abt $460. Given 7 days M.C. Polyclinic doesn't do wat... NDC or private. Cost abt the same.

I was traumatised when I learnt I had to remove 5 teeth (4 wisdom & 1 molar). The molar was damaged beyond repair by the neighbour wisdom tooth, and I had myself to blame when I ignored the signs.

Anyway, the senior consultant lady at the Dental Clinic in Alexandra Hospital is really good. Had 2 sessions, 1 to remove 3 teeth, another to remove 2. Although had 5 days MC each time, I was like recovered in 2 days :). Can pay by Medisave somemore.

So, recommended :)

I am referred to Alex for the operation as well. Which lady dentist that did the surgery for you..?

Got letter from CPF as I claim $630 from my wisdom tooth extraction. Deduct from medisave and so, waiting for the cheque to arrive and then off to buy V6 Maxx!!! ;p

:dunno: the whole that he cut/extract was too huge, took a long while to recover.
if you have 2 wisdom tooth to extract, get a good & experience doc. if the first extraction sucks, then you will hesitate going for the second ops.

I got my done at private practice doc, the ops was damn lousy though he is experience. the whole that he cut/extract was too huge, took a long while to recover. Visit my Family doc for stronger dose of anti-botic for 3 times to tackle the infection of my throat. Cost me another hundred to cure the infection.

One Week of MC. One Week of Sleepless night. One week of Porridge.

I believe the Dentist is rushing to finish the jobs so that he can go for his lunch.

Needless to say, the other wisdom tooth is still in my mouth after that incident.

Good Luck. :bsmilie:

i had mine done in army. Took me 4 weeks to recover. went to private dentist to have it resew to close the gash. Never do it in the army. You' regret it.

Ya NUH....

Will it hurt?

Just got appointment date... So what do you guys eat after the operation?

Smooth ice cream to numb the sore gums.

Life is short and anyway have to tahan the inconvenience of recuperation, so might as well make full use of cold desserts :D

am going for a gum inspection later , heard that if got gum problems , the bill can rake up to 1k , am already so poor n then now this can happen. and while having the pain , i thought its tooth ache , then dentist confirm point out that its gum problem.

take care of your body parts , if the pain cannot kill u , the medical bill just might be able to do that

i also have problem with my wisdom tooth. went to polyclinic and going to get referral in 2 weeks time to some hospital. damn reading u guy's comments sounds really scary :(

the dentist told me my lower 2 wisdom tooth better to get removed as its growing a bit sideways. and usually they remove the bottom + top as a pair. so i think 4 stupid teeth for me :(

When they make u numb, you wouldn't feel anything but the pain comes after some time. That time, best don't eat else u sure CRY!!! Cannot open mouth or chew, suffering like hell!!! All above is my own personal experience. You may or might experience different type of pain. ;p

no pain at all when they are extracting the wisdom tooth?
i was getting my wisdom tooth "cleaned" as it had an infection. even after 2 jabs anesthesia , i could still feel the pain during the cleaning process. i was clenching my fist!

anyone try the NTUC Dental Care? or can go direct to dental clinic at Alexandra Hospital?

going for my 2nd procedure tmr. wish me luck.
