Need to fund my other upgrade

WTS my chrome copy!

because the cron is a lousy lens, possibly the worst 35mm money can buy.

i say just dump it to me, i'll help you dispose. ;)

ahh, i wanna have a taste, but cannot afford one, or in other word, my CFO will not approve.

how is the 28 cron compared with 35 cron? in terms of color and sharpness?

Isn't the 28 cron some 1.5x the price of a 35 cron?

At f2, the 28mm cron exhibits a fair bit more light falloff in the corners compared to the 35mm cron.

When I had both the 28mm and the 35mm, I preferred the colour of the 35mm. Sharpness wise, my observation is that the 28mm is better, probably because it's a 28mm.

Leica price up again ..........

Yeah. Resale ones will adjust accordingly. Better buy first before it becomes exorbitant.

Sorry to ninja this thread but I recently bought a 35 summicron that doesnt come with the hood cap and I wonder if it is neccessary for a hood cap. Any comments?

You don't need it if you're taking pictures. ;)

I know its a dumb question. I'm just afraid that I might damage it when I throw things into my bag with the lens inside. :D

Many photographer wannabes think that all good photos must be taken with the maximum low light lens wide open all the time. Hence the desire for Noctilux and Summilux over the Summicrons, Elmarit and Summarits.

Not to mention d very good summarons (both f/2.8 & f/3.5) which are so much cheaper than d modern ASPH crons n lux but resolving as good if not better than them at f/4.0 and f/5.6. Perfect for street photography.
