All shots below were taken hand-held using FZ50 + FL36 (flash unit):

I was trying to capture a hand-held shot of "water droplets" using only the FZ50:

I'm not a fan of human portraits so I can't comment but my jaw dropped at the water droplets you took. I tried shooting a puddle in the rain but failed to capture such details.

Thanks for the comment, frankly speaking the "water droplets" shot was quite easy & simple.. It is after all capturing falling water from the water tap under a "control" environment.

PS: If it is no haste for you, it would be better/neater to delete duplicate/double post instead of editing it to "Deleted". Thanks.

There was a huge crowd for the Sunday show, have no choice but to use LiveView for this set of photos... all shots below were taken handheld using FZ50 + FL36 (flash unit):

Hi Anson,

Do you think the G1 with a superzoom lens is a good alternative to the FZ50? I myself had bought a Nikon D80 with 18-135mm kit lens, but still missed my old FZ5..so portable and packs alot of zoom. Thinking of going for the G1 with a superzoom lens (which I think they have not yet launched).

The G1 resemble my FZ50 in many ways, but my FZ50 have better handling than the G1 mainly due to it's size & weight...

Frankly speaking unless Panasonic can produce a lens that have a focal length of 35-420mm (F2.8 ~F3.7), else I seriously doubt that it could replace the FZ50. Any even if they do the price of the lens itself would be able to buy two FZ50....

I think I am also a "special" case too... :bsmilie: Even with a 450D +18-200mm IS, I still love my FZ50 in many ways...
