Who is buying the new EOS 550D?

i dun really believe cameralabs...if they can recommend 17-85 as the best kit lens replacement over 17-40...i dunno man, i dun fully believe their tests.

I think caremalabs.com give a good overview of cameras. I find that this site is informative, plus it has video guides.
17-85mm is not that bad as a all-around walk-about. At least I find that it is better than canon 18-200mm.

I find the 18-55mm IS over shadowed the 17-85mm IS USM le...
Before the release of 18-55mm IS, 17-85mm was a good upgrade from the 18-55mm non-IS.

Agree on this too. Especially when 18-55mm IS is cheaper and has similar IQ as the 17-85mm.

18-55 IS is good. no doubt. but the color and contrast leaves something to be desired. i always tot my kit lens was great til i rented L lenses. haha!

Just need a software boast. Remember, the kit lens does not feature any UD or expensive elements, yet quality is pretty good.


I WANT TO KNOW THE PRICE OF 550D locally.
ANyway, is the 550D price at other country the same as 500D when it first launch? Camera Labs is comparing 550D with D90.
