don't about you guys. while the new live view button placement is very good, i find the rest of the button on 550D not easy to reach. 500D except for the live view button, everything seems easier to reach for me. guess you do have to sacrifice some ergonomic for having a wider screen.

The grip has improve from 500D imho. Suits my smaller hand perfectly. XXD series and XD series are too big for my hand. Screen is very detailed. Live View Autofocus speed has improved from 500D also.

Well, I think the shutter button is too far off forward, not in line with the grip of my other fingers, have to get used to it ...

OK... So I took the plunge! My first DSLR, I am so excited!!!

I spent $1,375 at Alan Photo and for that I got:

- 550D Kit I (18-55mm Lens)
- Hoya UV Filter
- Lens Hood
- Dry Box
- Cleaning Kit
- (was going to get the screen protector, but no stock, anyone knows where they carry the 3.2 inch screen protector?)

I just got back from Canon Digital (Keppel) and got my freebies
- 8GB
- Lens Workbook
- Crumpler Bag

So in the end, I feel like I got a really great deal considering that the IT Show price was $14xx.
