Just bought the Dynax 5D kit for $1150 at Funan centre. It was a no-brainer for me, since I'm upgrading from a 2001 Minolta Dimage 7 and had the 3600 flash already; and of all the entry level DSLRs, this was the one that had image stabilisation at such a low price point.

What ever announcement Sony gona have, prices will be going up up up...

I believe they have bodies and lenses waiting to be out, but thier prices are not the best ones around..

price for 5D is about $1200...

That's what I afraid of also... once Sony totally take over, they might repackage the model into SONY's brand and mark up the prices.

On the other hand, if rush into getting KM now, not sure if Sony will give "equal treatment" for after sales service or not.

To wait or not to wait? Or shld just consider getting other makes/model (e.g. Nikon D50, Canon 350D?) Very confused. But I still like the anti-shake features since I'm really a beginner. =)

sony marketing will be 100% better then minolta....got money mah...

if u are interested in learning, which camera u own also can shoot, u dont depend on the brand. getting a expensive camera does not mean u are able to take good pics if u dont understand what u are doing to the camera.
