Who bought Dynax 5D?

hi since so many KM users here, like to check anyone compared nikon & canon and finally choose KM DSLR. Or maybe someone migrated from the N & C camp. Just curious! I'm nikon D70 user and quite tempted to try out KMD7D. 5D is out for me as I think the LCD resolution is too low for a 2.5" screen.

u can check with zenten...he owned three bodies...nikon,canon and minolta

I was deciding between the 350D, D70s and the 5D and decided on the 5D because of the following few areas

• AS on body
• superior low light performance
• body design, more direct access buttons
• package includes a zoom lens
• price

To what I know a D200 cost cheaper there, but warranty at Malaysia. Never check price for D5D.

Got lah. Still see a few shops in Sim Lim carrying them. But these are the not reputable ones so have to be careful with them.

Hi I am new here & just joined today. After reviewing the forum for almost a two weeks, finally got myself a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D @Harvey Norman.
Come package with:

1. KM 5D + lens kit (18 - 70mm)
2. Bag
3. Tri-port
4. 1 GB ScanDisk Ultra II
5. Extended 2 years warrantry on top of the KM 1 year warranty (1+2 years)
6. Bought the tele lens (70-300mm) at $100

Total damage: s$1488

A good camera that fit my budget and neds. Was previous all the while using P&S compact camera until now finally decide to use a DSLR camera.

I still have my old faithful Canon EOS 500 file camera. It is about 10 years old already and still works when Itook it out during the CNY for fun shooting.

So what position am I now for the users of KM 5D ?

Hi tokrot,

I bought the 75 - 300mm at S$100. The KM 5D + len kit(18-70mm) plus the rest of the goodies at S$1388. All come with 1 + 2 years warrantry. After I bought it, there is left only one more set on the display. Mine is the 2nd last. Most Harvey Norman no more already.

just buy whatever good 2nd hand lenses u can afford and worry later.
Good lens retain it value well

wow...with the extra stuff, I'm amazed you can get it from HN at that price!
Especially since I last checked MS and AP selling it around $1200+ kit set only.

Wrong thread dude.... but yeah the flash does not work... none of the flashes with the xi label work on the digital SLRs from KM or Sony, U can't trigger the flash from the hotshoe... but u can use it as a slave in manual...
