Yep, trial on land, unless someone lives in a condo and we can use the pool. BTW just met Laixi and she suggested meeting at Burger King Boat Quay. More convenient than Prinsep Street. (got Raffles Place and Boat Quay MRT. Cater to everyone)

hahaha... did we have you confused about the buoyancy thing? it is just a joke la. cos i was saying i am fat you see.. then sehsuan say i am more buoyant, then i think blurblock said me being female will retain more fats so definitely more buoyant ... just a joke thing, haha. i use 3 pieces of weights, definitely not a negatively buoyant person.

You carry three weights ? .... hehehe ... I tried zero weights to 4 weights .... not much difference leh ..... don't know why my carry weight .... hehehe....

Blurblock! If you can descend and stay down for the whole dive w/o any weights, then you DUN need weights!! Less is better!

Manado info: I got a quote from the other (more expensive) operator at Lembeh straits for a 3 day package:

"I am offering you a special rate of US $488.00 per person
The rate includes 3 nights of beach front accommodation, all meals in our 24 hrs restaurant service, 10 dives, free unlimited beach dives (under the discretion of the Dive Master), tax, and service charge.
A transfers from Tasik Ria to our resort is complimentary.

Accommodation and food package per night is US $89.00
Dives are US $22 per boat dive."

I was thinking that the perfect Manado combination wld be to do a few days at bunaken (maybe stay at tasik ria? Waisj, any good offers?? ) and then transfer to stay at Lembeh for 2-3 days.

The USD488 quote is for 3 nights so i guess you can spread the 10 boat dives over 4 days? eg 2-3-3-2 (but need to stay somewhere for 1 more night to off-gas before flying). If so, the "chiong" divers can prob squeeze in additional 6 shore dives (includ night dives) in 4 days?? :bsmilie: Alternatively, can use the USD22/dive quote to bargain down the other operator!! ;p

mm, actually, the more you dive, or rather the better you can control your breathing, the less weight you will use too. i started off with five pieces leh. i didnt lose any body weight (sadly) but i dropped off the weights slowly. actually i think i can try to drop another piece or so , but .. see how la.

just be careful when you are there.! after teh swells that morning, the rest of the day and the next day, it was flat. Gee bad luck.

actually alot of stuff to see. i spotted a sea hare. 75 ft near dayang jetty.
tonnes of cuttle fish. pleurobranchs.. and stuff.

my friends also saw quite a bit. one group saw eagle ray. my first leisure trip there only the last dive was good.. saw very very very big puffer fish and had this big bumphead parrotfish swim right next to me ... hope can see a lot more this time.
