Which walk around lens do you own?

Just got the SAL50F18, and now using it only with my A300 as my walk around lens.

Still learning how to use, but I have to stand very far to take a "full shot" of a subject haha

For Portraiture shots, it is fantastic imo!

Yup, same here, just got the 50/1.8 abt 7hrs ago. Seems to be quite sharp at F1.8 and very sharp from F2 onwards. Infact, IQ is similar to the more expensive 50/1.4...Worth every penny...

BTW, for those who do not own and bash this lens saying it's better to buy Min50/1.7 or Sony50/1.4 as they are FF...I can only comment that for less than half the price (compared to 1.4) and with warranty (compared to 1.7), these are already 2 very good reasons to buy 50/1.8 as long as you still can't afford to go FF...

KM35-105 is my walkabout lens too!
At times I it pair with my KM24 F2.8.

For quality I would say the 16-105mm... it has a shorter range, so inherently the optics would be better... not sure if you can see it in print though...

qns here from a noob, i own a 50 f1.8 also, how to actually use it as a walkabout? i find that if i set the Aperture too low the focus of an object is too "narrow" e.g. if i take a head shot, from ear onwards is blur, what would be an optimum setting for a nice full body shot?

Wide auto focus or point auto focus?
