I'd like to change to the Apple Powerbooks for my image editing but was wondering is it costly to change to PS CS for Mac OS when I already have the windows version?

i started from 3.0 and LE..
didnt know about 2.5 until those adobe fellas told me. grinz.

btw i think ps 4.0, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 are horrible versions.. i stuck with 3.0 until i die die had to move 6.0 for the plugins support.

stayed with 7.0 for a week only before getting the CS version.

Hehehe... 1 "qian bian" question... How many PS users here are on a pirated version... Hehehehehe..... :bsmilie:

Joking only... Strictly no reply are to be made for that....

I started out on PS4 then jumped to PS6 then jumped to CS...

CS is damn power... They got a wonderful panaroma stitching automation, with advanced blending... Even the stitching program that Camedia provides also loses to it... But 1 problem... The new filter gallery they give, takes up lotsa memory...

started wif 2.5 but switch to corel photopaint now cs. . . . still struggling.. :D

i started with PaintShopPro5 (jasco) then heard and read abt Adobe photoshop 4 i think.... then went to Adobe Photoshop5, then 6 then 7 and then CS...... bt then CS isn't what i wanted, as it become more like complicated, thus went back to 7.
YA, ADobe Photoshop had made life easier !!

Haha... my poor lappie, gotta suffer on my editing of photos !! i nv do my photo editing on my desktop one... haha... luck my lappie still can do those simple editing... bt higher resolution (eg. 10Mp) then it will really slow my lappie down.... AFter hours of editing, my lappie usually gets really really hot...

Started with Photoshop v5.0 in an introductory lesson in sch, then proceed to play with v5.5 & then stuck with v6.01 after graduation until now cos laptop was too "antique" to support later versions. Now dun hav much time to fool ard with Photoshop so nvr really upgrade myself to v7.0 or CS...

Photoshop rox! ;)

i started with PS4.o but did not study much abt it till PS7 and now PS CS

I'm using PS 7 now, formerly use version 6.

Started out using Version 2.5, In fact I still have the disks.
Now using CS.

Started at ver 5 for web graphics, poster design, etc. I find that getting PS just for editing colour levels is overkill. PS is so much more capable, professionals in the media industry use it daily. Below is what I did some time back (don't comment please, it ain't good) and I'm only scratching the surface of PS.

anyone remember aldus photoshop and freehand for mac now Adobe photoshop and Macromedia freehand

I used version 3 then 5 for publishing the NUS newspaper, The Ridge. That was close to 10 years ago.

Aldus Pagemaker later got absorbed by Adobe.

Coreldraw was and still is my favourite vector art software. Started with ver 4 or 5.

I was using Corel Photopaint before moving on to Photoshop 4.0. That was back in the mid 90s...

WOW!!

That screenshot takes me back a few years... only it reminds me of my old Atari ST (which was the poor mans apple mac) - wonderful machine - Why have we been cursed with the PC (thanks IBM!! :( )

Weve been cursed by the PC as a natural progression in much the same way as your camera is updated every one in a while , only trouble is sometimes these updates happen to quickly and the new can leave a gaping hole where the old should still be :(

I has to be Photoshop FV (Future Version) for me.

One that I can only dream about. It comes with a library of 5000 beautiful models for your choice.

One filter plug-in that fixes all lighting problems, creats great composition and puts in a breath-taking, ravishing, delectable, curvaceous and photogenically attractive model in every photo I take.

Dont we all wish life was that easy Sion :) someday perhaps :dunno:

I began using PhotoShop V2 on a mac while teaching at USC. It had just be upgraded from 1.x They then used it on a PC Chip mac but that mac was too slow.

I think V3.x was first available on PC as I remember updating the Mac to version 3.x and pc was released soon after.

I was using Corel Suite on Win 3.1 and upgraded to win98 and PS 4.0 about '99. I used 4.0 till last year (2003) when I got my canon and it included PS Elements 2.0. It does a lot that 4.0 didn't do or did very clumsily. I just got 8.0CS and need to get a faster system to be able to run it. I do like elements and there is now a 3.0 Version.

I remember those days when we have to go thru so many steps just to get drop shadows done! Hahaa now just click a button & its done. ;)
