24-70 would be great for non-flash photography and heavy and big.. But since you already have the flash, the f4 wouldn't be any issue for the 24-105mm. Check out my flick, all on the the recent one are on the 24-105mm.
If you happen to get the 24-105mm Get a 3rd party 83J lens hood. More protection against flare and knock. http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=402626

Nice choice! I know you'll enjoy it! This is my most used and favorite lens![]()
wah...bro u very rich hor...get all 3...anyway i try to avoid getting overlapping lenghts...
haha...done...bought the 24-105...
why say, "This is my most used and favorite lens" when this is the only normal zoom lens you've got?
may be if you have the 3 lenses mentioned, then i'll agree with you.
There's nothing wrong with what I've said. You don't need to have three choices to pick your most used and favorite thing. It's only like having two pairs of jeans and you use the darker jeans more because you like it better
I think what engrmariano meant is that this is the only normal zoom lens you own. Taking from your own analogy, you have a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants, and a pair of shorts, and you say that the pair of jeans you own is your favorite jeans.
I'm sorry, but we are talking about lenses here. I don't think I need to own all three lenses being compared here for me to say my most used and favorite lense![]()
Bro, first let me say I have no problem with you saying that the 24-105 is your most used and favorite lens. I have that lens myself and I like it, and it's also the one attached to my camera most of the time.
The jeans was your analogy, I'm merely extending it. You brought it up, not me.
FWIW I don't agree with engrmariano's tone, and even though I see his point, I didn't find the remark he made necessary. I thought you misunderstood what he meant - his point being that your remark is not useful for the purpose of choosing between one of the 3 lenses, which is the purpose of this thread. You're not responding to that, I realize. I should have pointed that out. Sorry for ruffling your feathers.
