they are the one of the 3 doing the printing for the ngee ann photographic exhibition.
if you print there often you can get discounts off norm fuji prices!
its near PIE exit so its accessible as well.
nice saturated colors from them!

Wah thats like, 3 bus-stops away from my home :bsmilie:

Grace digital labs at sunset way  beautiful prints, fast and friendly service.

When it comes to printing pictures of living things, i use kodak! i swear by kodak printed using noritsu due to the colour tones in my eyes being more natural. I will use Fuji when printing products as it looks more impressive due to the "artificial look". That day at the Kodak lab i regularly go to, we did a test by printing 1 photo without editing on a noritsu machine using kodak and 1 using fuji. Guess who won? Kodak. Skin tone looks more natural.

Photo Paper. Fuji seem to be thicker than Kodak. What about printing on gloss, matt and ever metaliic.

I seem to have better results using Fuji film and developing and printing Kodak.

Gloss - Kodak is better. Matt - Fuji is better:thumbsup:

Fuji paper is more contrasty than Kodak. Kodak print black and white better. Less colour bias.

Comes across a website that Kodak is coming up with a new machine soon. Anyone can confirm that ?

fuji - use laser technology. sharper.
kodak depend.got low end and high end lab. generaly produce a bit more yellow for skin tone
konica produce a blueish color
agfa....obsolete soon.............
lamba- best for large format printing, but costly!!!if can siam, use large format injet much cheaper alternatives.
just my sense ,cos i used to own a lab machine but no more already:cry:

erm those labs arhz they maybe fuji kodak konica agfa labs, but those only stands for the paper and chemicals. Machine wise, it may not be from fuji kodak konica agfa but using noritsu or its likes instead. Konica machines is singapore maintainance has been taken over by noritsu anyway.

so far from my personal experiences i prefer to print at Fuji labs. seems to me that the prints delivered by Fuji are better.

Anyone tried Shalom @ Bras Basah? Seen a few prints from there... Preddy zai!

Tried experimenting with Fuji, Kodak & Konica before with the exact same picture and I found that the ones printed using Kodak paper were generally of a more accurate colour to my preference.

As for scenery & family photos, I don't really have a preference as to Fuji or Kodak paper. If I'm printing my non-scenery or family photos as well I would send the same batch to Kodak, if its solely for scenery/family photos I would use KT as its near my workplace. I do feel that sometimes as it was mentioned before in this thread, the staff adjust wrt to skin tone preferentiallty, the colour might be not what I would want it to be, so I often send in jobs with specific requests not to adjust the photo as well (as I had already pre-adjusted it using previous prints).

Speaking of KT, their punctuality is in need of improvement. Recently, I sent in a job (abt 100 pix) and the lady told me that I could collect it anytime the next day. Went down during lunch the next day and had 2 colleagues tagging along with me as well. The staff told me that as the machine was busy printing glossy photos they do not have time to print the matt photos which I had requested. However, the tone of her (not Michelle) voice was like they were asking me to symphatise with their situation and not even offering me an apology for the inconvenience. So much for Singapore's drive for customer-centric service.

Konica Minolta gets the absolute thumbs down from me as the red is simply too much (I've seen a red & pink liveried photo of a SBS Transit bus printed on KM photo paper before and it simply looks disgusting).

to each of his own... if you like the colour corrections at one lab, you should just stick to that lab because the ideals of the printer matches with yours. anyway, there are also many other factors that affect your print quality.. like chemical and machine. same colour adjustments but different chemicals will produce different results. ultimately, just stick to the ones you like. for me, it will always be the noritsu + kodak royal paper combination.

agree wif x-iii.... wadever works for u, works for u!
