so far been sending all my shots to digipro marine parade.. very good service from the people there. even entertain a last minute enlargement of 9 8r prints within 2 hrs.. that's service... ;) :bsmilie:

Wow ! Another top three prizes printed by Pro-M Photo in the konica family contest.

I dunno why so many ppl give rave reviews abt KT. My personal experience with them is that the pics printed are only so-so.
eColour at Balestier Point is where I go and have great prints. The quality of prints boils down to the guy doing the correction.
Like someone else mentioned earlier, I have prints for those wedding gowns where the bride sits on a white sofa, and KT printed a whole white and cannot defferentiate the gown and the sofa. Whereas in eColour's prints, you can clearly see the details, folds, and contrast with the sofa.

KT was good. But after they lost my CD and lost my photog's prints, I'd say their only strong point left is their price. Service is hardly so good anymore. Their new staff are also rude over the phone. ;(
For a regular customer who prints large volumes with them, I am very disappointed (yes, these were feedback to them).

Fortunately, there are a couple of alternative good labs around. Price-wise, these other Frontier labs are able to match what KT has to offer. I strongly recommend checking out Triple D at Burlignton Square, Grace at Sunset Way and DigiPro at Marine Terrace instead. Colour-wise, their are certainly no inferior to KT. Service-wise, I'd say Beautiful Memories at Stamford House is tops!

The company that I worked for does large volume printing at KT and they have never failed us. In fact the walk-in customers like you yourself gets priority over us.

Service not that good anymore? What kind of service are you referring to may I ask? It'll be good if you can elaborate. On-the-spot printing? Below $0.30 for each 4R? Freebies galore? Yeah sure....

Regulars at KT, I am sure you guys have experienced the kind of dedicated service with a smile that the KT staff have provided. As a regular myself too, I feel the need to defend them from groundless accusations and rumour-mongering. :nono:  :thumbsd:

I can understand your frustration with them for losing your CD but I'm sure they have been very apologetical over the incident. I would still be pretty forgiving to them considering the fact that I'm not that daft as to have only one copy of it on CD.

Fellow photographers, if you haven't been to KT, give them a try and I can assure you that they are like what that have been said in this thread

This March, I was in Japan and attended a Wal-Mart fair. We were offer free prints and they have these friendly kiosks. They used fuji paper and the prints were fantastic! But I found that the paper used in Japan is thinner than that of Singapore. The best part was that it was free. :)

i printed 60 pics at KT recently and was satisfied with the results. I will go back again.

Regarding the comments about whites, i agree that they seem to print on the slightly 'hot' side resulting in a loss of some white detail compared to say your own inkjet print. I suppose you have to tell them not to brighten the pic or make your own adjustments before sending it in.

Rumour-mongering NOT. I was expressing my disappointment in my post, something which I have expressly said in person to Lily and SK Tan before that I'll let live and forget. However if you wish to bait the subject in such a manner. I must point out facts.

1. Instruction was given for all jobs by my group of photogs to be handled by Michelle. The fact is I had instructed that you are not handle any of mine or my photog's prints. That was not followed to the letter.

2. Priority only depends on who brings the job down to KT. When I send my staff over, they did not get priority service. In fact they have for wait 3 hours.

3. "The company that you work with" is printing exclusively at Kim Tian.... but of course. As you were a staff of Kim Tian then and now a sister company, you have a vested interest.

In the light of these facts, I do suggest you refrain from posting such nonsense about rumour mongering and accusations. For the matter of #1, I have actually said so to Mr Tan that I'll not pursue the matter if we (KT and I) do not dig it up anymore.

I hope you understand what are the implications of losing a customer's CD - especially if it's work-related. Where did the CD go, whose hands did it land on? A business rival? Now, who wouldn't have a copy on their working computer. I too have 3 prints that I have sent down and vanished into thin air before Azure's CD was lost too.

I cannot comprehend your accusation. Everyone's entitled to their own opinions and Azure is just sharing his bad experiences with KT, but you're telling others to ignore his comment and believe in yours? i'm rather curious about your motivation to do so.

To Azure and bAa,

I have already said my piece and ain't interested in getting into a rhetorical war with you guys with personal agendas. If you have any issues to take with my defence of KTCC as a customer now, go ahead.

I ain't a person who's bitter and will start pouring out accusations due to "personal reasons".

CSers are a smart lot and won't fall for this ruse of yours.

i do mine at KT color near hong lim....

Based on recommendation from CS, I went to KT last month. But I was dissapointed with the result. Most of the prints are over-saturated. I reprint them at a small photo shop in Tampines and the prints are not over-saturated. So I don't think the issue is due to my digital image. Don't you guys think KT is over-rated here in CS forums?

What accusations and personal reasons are there? Come clean.

Wow so many of your kakis jumping to your defence again huh? Splendid.

Well you yourself knows best what I meant so you can do away with the GREAT pretence. If KTCC ain't good, why are you still back in KT these days after all that you've said.

You guys can draw your own conclusions.

i'm not defending anyone caesium..
i'm juz another clubsnapper who want to know more about these labs and make sure my $$ is well spent and not like, losing CDs or such crap happening. :)

I think such things do happen whether we like it or not. I am not saying its ok for that to happen but when it does, its for the shop and the customer to settle it between themselves and not for us (who do not know the full story) to pass judgement. What puzzles me is that if the customer already told the proprietor that he would live and let live, then why bring it up here and still continue to patronise the shop?
