Well... have been to KTCC for a few major prints, no complains whatsoever, they obligingly acceeded to my request for a fast print of 300 shots early last month when I dropped by in the morning 11am and asked to collect at 1pm. They managed to print as per I sent in. I have no complains and probably would keep going there for bulk prints if necessary.

BM has still the best service so far, minor "complains" is that they always take too much effort in doing the best for my prints, I feel pai seh also. :bsmilie: Prints come out perfect and you'll never lose the CDs as the images are duplicated into their HD prior to printing.

I will continue to frequent these places as long as their services do not let me down. ;)

Yes, Beautiful Memories is darn good service... particularly the Ritz-Carlton of the FDIs. And Sanjay has some pretty innovative stuff that I'll be using this year-end.

My colleagues have since end-Aug opted to shift our bulk printing to Grace (at Sunset Way) and Triple-D (at Burlington Sq). Seen their prints... the MF prints are just beautiful, and they could get same-day delivery for our high volumes like 300 S8Rs + 1500 6Rs. Price-wise, equal to KT. Service, far far better, hey Grace Digital even had delivery to my photog's doorstep! And Triple-D is a stone's throw away from my PA's home. Combined, both labs probably got $15K+ of printing from my guys in the last 6-weeks. Gold :xmas: for them.

Y0ngcheng, why don't you try Triple-D, since you go Sim Lim often. Its just next door. Quick print that picture and show us if you are coming for the gathering tonight. :p

I certainly would not even bring my personal prints to KT anymore, since the lab is so unwelcoming of business and so adamant towards negative feedback. Won't recommend it either. ;(

yep.. im pretty surprised why no one ever recommended TripleD or DDD of Burglinton Sq. Price wise, it cn beat KT and since its so near Sim Lim Sq, im sure its also pretty accessible for nearly everyone.

SO everyone, i recommend TripleD!

(actually i did patronise KT before, but seems like nowadays, their business is too much and perhaps their stafff cannot provide the same level of competency or service they used to last time and since so, i brought my business somewhere else  . since TripleD is much nearer to my house anyway. ;p )

If only they offered the glossy version of Crystal Archive...that's the one thing stopping me from using them.

Hi... anyone tried their prints printed out at a kodak express outlet in sunset way? A photo shop with very big fish tank outside. :) I always send my weddings assignment there. Very good service, good price and most of all good colours also. And there is also a pretty ger!!! :) :) :)

Chill dude, all's well, everybody's just sad/angry over matters that nobody wants it to happen. :)

For BM I mostly print my portrait shots, mostly S8R prints. Nice! Had my portfolio printed at BM too, although a big hole in my pocket, but I've no regrets none whatsoever.

Actually that's not an issue, I'll just head over to KTCC for my glossy FSCA paper prints. However my main choice is still BM no matter what. As long as my clients don't request glossy, it's BM for me. :)

hi,

jus wanna share my experience with KT.

started printing there 1 yr ago and had since switched from printing from labs in the east to go all the way to upper cross st. to do my printing.

wats so impressively abt their service actually?? when the printings are not done to my satisfaction at the start, lily and her staff, michelle will immediately do a reprint to according to wat i want (at no extra charge). as the times goes by, requests for reprints of unsatisfactory prints are cut down to almost nil. as they will readily print again if they found the photographs that they jus printed might not be wat i wan.

every photographer hav their own preference. the labs will generally print according to skin tone. which means they will give pirority to get nice skin tones over details, or exposure (especially if the pics are not edited properly before printing). jus need to tell them wat u wan and i m sure they will accomodate to ur requests.

as for express service, sometimes there will be no choice to wait for one or 2 hrs, esp when i am printing a few hundred pieces of various sizes. anyway even when they print straight away, it will still take at least 30 mins to an hr to hav the few hundred of images churn out from the machine. things might get a little longer when they hav a lot of walk-ins. this is understandable as u cannot expect them to give up servicing their other clients jus for 1 client.

everyone do makes mistakes once or twice. encounters with KT is tat they will readily admit their mistakes and take cautions not to repeat them again.

i am sure there are also other labs that give good prints and good service. but the sincerity and professionalism at KT is wat makes me feel they are dependable to always churn out beautiful images to meet up to my expections.

hope these info helps.
cheers.

The company that I worked for does large volume printing at KT and they have never failed us. In fact the walk-in customers like you yourself gets priority over us.

Service not that good anymore? What kind of service are you referring to may I ask? It'll be good if you can elaborate. On-the-spot printing? Below $0.30 for each 4R? Freebies galore? Yeah sure....

Regulars at KT, I am sure you guys have experienced the kind of dedicated service with a smile that the KT staff have provided. As a regular myself too, I feel the need to defend them from groundless accusations and rumour-mongering. :nono:  :thumbsd:

I can understand your frustration with them for losing your CD but I'm sure they have been very apologetical over the incident. I would still be pretty forgiving to them considering the fact that I'm not that daft as to have only one copy of it on CD.

Fellow photographers, if you haven't been to KT, give them a try and I can assure you that they are like what that have been said in this thread

Heard good and bad about KT, but willing to give them a try, as with the other photo labs. Where's KT, by the way? And go there look for who?

Hi everyone,
You guys shouldn't give fuji so much praise man.. haha
I work at d2 Digital Centre at Peninsula Plaza. It's an AGFA Digital Imaging Shop. Just beside it is Konota (Fuji Digital Imaging Lab).
Unknown to most customers, both of this shops actually belongs to the same boss. Haha..

We have tested the quality between the 2 machines. The Fuji Frontier and the Agfa dLab2.
Most of the time, the dLab2 produces better quality prints as compared to the Frontier. The main reason is that the Frontier always burns colour. It is most obvious is wedding gowns photos. Using the Frontier, all you see is one layer of white while for dLab2, you can get to see the crisps and folds.
As the boss is very particular about quality, he sometimes prints test photos at other labs in Singapore that are using other machines to ensure that his prints are up to standard.

And paper doesn't really come into consideration when using the machine. The AGFA machines uses the Sensatis paper that is quite comparable to the Fuji Crystal Archive superior paper.

If any of you guys would like to know more about the quality and the prices, feel free to email me @ d2_digital_centre@hotmail.com

E-mailed about 2 days ago. No sound no image. Wondering if they still around?? Or still having Hari Raya / Deepavali business.....????????

Yeah, would be interesting to see which is better, don't mind try try lah...

KT has always given me good service  and also because they are close to where I work. The paper that BeN86 is saying Fuji Crystal Archive superior paper, is this a better grade paper? I know KT has been giving very good matt paper which I like very much, can't remember the actual description but I do remember it has Supreme in it.

Had also printed at Konota before and they are good as well, shall give Agfa Digital Imaging dLab2 a try sometime.

Checked the paper from KT, it's Fujicolor CrystalArchive Paper, Supreme for Digital Premium. Like this paper quality.

Hope BeN86 can confirm if he is comparing the Agfa Sensatis paper with the above. If yes, want to give Agfa a try try.
