Wow, the number of votes for the 85 has overtaken the 135. While I voted for both I must say my 85 impressed me more than my 135. But the 85 is so bloody heavy.

The 35L, 85L & 135L seems to be the best combo for L Primes.......

Now... I am also dreaming of a L prime......

The only 2 prime i can foresee myself owning would be the 24 and 85.
Im more of a Zoom person..

The 24II is an awesome lens although it is seldom discussed. I find it more challenging to use than the 35 but the result is more satisfying when you do get it right.

There are 2 different 24IIs.

Why aren't Tilt-Shift Lenses included? :)

You have your super duper 50L and the new 70-300L.

You are doing this for the love of L.

Ok lah as these 2 Ls are really my requirements for portraits and events. Come to think about it, all my lenses are pro ones! ;p

Hi Kenneth67C,

What do you mean by there are 2 different 24IIs? I'm looking at getting the 24II and hence need your valuable advise.

Thanks in advance.

This one is the plain vanilla:

and this is the extra special with tilt and shift:

The former is good, but the later is better in IQ terms. If you already have one of the 24-70 or 24-105 zooms covering this range, I'd recommend the TSE, but note it is a manual lens. The sharpness though is staggering.

Roger that.....thanks again.

Same here. 100mm f2.8 Macro L - The only L Prime I own... ;)

More have bought the 500f4 and 600f4 than the 400f2.8.
These are huge monsters. How do the owners bring them around and setup for a shoot?
Why didn't you consider the 400f2.8?
