100mm F2.8 is my fav. How come its not included?

i notice quite a number going for 50 F1.8.

is price a factor here?

my personal fave is 85mm F1.2L.

=)

85L ANYTIME...not really the best shot but an example of possible low light application...using a 60W red spotlight with roomlight in the background at 1/60 F1.2

Wish to own... 85mm 1.2L

EF 50mm F1.8... bang for the buck ever!

but if i have a chance, EF 200mm f/1.8L USM on Full Frame.

50mm F1.8 for me till i get to use a better one. :)

best cheapest prime lens of canon for low light conditions & portraits

isn't it the cheapest canon lens?

or is there a cheaper one? The 18-55mm ef-s?

135L:thumbsup:
This is the portrait lens I own now although so far haven't got much chance trying it out on a model, sad...
But the bokeh is great, not that great as 85L perhaps, but it is still great. And I believe it is more powerful outdoors than the 85L, for indoors of course 85L is much more powerful while the 135L is somewhat useless especially the room is small in space LOL
But one thing to mention is 135mm is more appropriate for portrait on FF, especially headshot.
Just my 2 cents, don't bite me if I am wrong.;)

Agree with you, I love my 135L on 5D as well!

I like my 50mm f1.8 too for portrait

But im wishing I have the 50mm F1.4

Currently getting used to using my 35L.
Headshots using 85/1.8, just nice can squeeze for indoor shots.

Tried out the 135L recently. Found it way too long indoors... my 5-rm no space :D Also had difficulty handholding the 135 in the beginning. Still, its a very sharp lens, and i'm 100% sure i'll be getting it when i upgrade to a FF since it'll be about the same as what i'm having now with my 85 on the 1.6x.

35-85-135 for my portraits
