Snoweagle said:Hmmm...but have u tried the original Lightsphere II by Gary Fong?
metallilan said:nope..no money to get one..
cyber_m0nkey said:I have both the LSII and the omnibounce. I have done a very quick test with these plus a home made bounce card. the test was NOT scientific, i.e. I didn't put much effort in and only eyeballed the LCD to compare results.
IMHO the LSII and simple, home made bounce card are close, very close, with the omnibounce coming in third (but still better then nothing). I haven't done the same comparison (yet) with the dome on the LSII, I expect that this will win hands-down - the down side is that it attracts more attention then any big white lens I might put on the front of my camera

genegoh said:oh yes... to attach all the stuff, I use the small black rubber band from army. Perfect fit on the flash head, and it's abt 1cm thick, so very secure. Highly recommend it!
Yeah... 1cm wide... sorry... :sweat:Spectrum said:You mean 1cm wide right?
genegoh said:Wow, you gotta show a picture of that man... pic pls!
I was (and still am) trying to experiment with the different things like bounce card and stuff like that. I DIY a Lumiquest pocket bouncer. It's like a bounce card tilited at 45 degrees to throw the light forward, keeping the flash head 90 degrees up. Cos for events, ceilings quite high.
Dunno what size to make flash card, so I made 2... smaller one 3"x3", bigger one 4"x5". All using old foolscap pad backing. Strong and fairly thin. Paste photo paper on one side. It's pretty bright white, so I guess no much light is lost. No chance to try in actual event yet though...
Snoweagle said:So can i say that a lightsphere is better than an omnibounce??
cyber_m0nkey said:I feel the LS provides better results, but it is unweildy and awkward to use. The OB provides good results and is easy to use, fits in the bag nicely (can even leave it on the flash).
in fact I hardly use the LS anymore.

yeaps...Snoweagle said:So with a LS, does that mean that bounce card and omnibounce dun need liao?
