Which do u prefer: OmiBounce, Bounce Card or Diffuser?

How do u shoot with Flash?

The cheap way.. use a aluminium foil angled for bounce, and secure with blu-tack

i generally use bounce card. but i'm gonna try out either the PPCP softbox or Eastgear softbox. anyone has experience with these two?

OT: i may have an extra bounce card. just bought materials to make. waitin for my exams to be over first. anyone interested can just PM me. nominal fee of $7 including labour by me.

can check out the 'flip-it' (I'm doing an MO for it) it acts like a good o'l bounce card, but with some added flexibility.. the small one is about 7.5 by 6.5 cm, large one is 11 by 10... been using it for about a week with good results especially when tilted back a bit!

I used to use an omnibounce but after CK mentioned, I tried a 50 cents bounce card....... the omnibounce is history.
care to elaborate why you don't use the omnibounce? what are the problems?

for me, the omnibounce gives rather poor results. i just don't really like the light quality, also it gives my photos a slight yellow cast and eats up flash power. I much prefer the 'harsher/stronger' bounce light with a bounce card for a little fill.

With the omnibounce you're supposed to tilt it. Anyway, how about adding the Lightsphere to the list? :\

I will second adding Lighsphere to the list. Just got mine from CP last week, I am on the verge of throwing away my omnibounce. First time in years I like take photos with an onboard flash. But does put a strain on the flash unit.

Just Bounce will be the other alternative:)

lightsphere...i got mine wif the first mo....and have been living with it happily since...

anybody know the price for non-stofen omnibounce

I use a Fed-Ex white envelope. It is free and recycleable also. You can use it to store prints later.:)

If it gives satifactory results why not?

I find that a large bounce card attached to the flash head with velcro's the best. For me i use an omnibounce for my 420EX. Previously i did consider lightsphere but some pple say it's not gd.

Thought i've seen it somewhere....

Dunno whether should i get a lightsphere over my omnibounce.

aiya why I still cannot vote leh............. anyway, bought the sb800, come with the it, so no need....

i built a diy lightsphere for my external slave flash out of instant noodle cup..works not too bad at all.. hehe.

so is there such a thing as using fill-in for indoor shoot or is it always being use during outdoor shoot?

on the other hand.. i've came across some of my fren's wedding photos.. it appears that the background isn't well lit.. am i right to say it's gotta do with the metering instead of the flash adjustment? how do u recitify this issue in order to have a well-balanced lit photo?

appreciate ur comments..
The ballroom where weddings are held are normally not well lit.
Your flash will not be able to light up the background, only can light up the people.
To get brighter background...use higher ISO, slower shutter speed or larger aperture
