Where to buy LX3

went to get 1 today at MS Color.. got stock..

679, 8G card, screen protector, mini tripod, cleaning kit and extra battery

paid 40 for a lumix case.

yeah today i went to get my lx3 also at MS color,but i didnt get the case too.is it the standard now to not have the case?cause i got the same freebies as buabua stated.and i wasn't ask about the case.

Hmm the sales guy offered me.. so seeing it fits the camera fine.. i just get it.. extra 40 bucks for protection.. think its worth it

can i check with you guys the free case from APSL is it the same as those who buy ($40) at mscolor?

checks with CP, $715 inc GST with 8GB card... but without case.
they say this shipment no stock of the case....

Just get LX3 finally from MS Color...679 include 8 GB card, 3rd party battery, tripod mini, lens cleaner. Add another 55 for Lumix Casing + card reader .

Just wanna ask, it is really woth 49 $ for that case, For free case from ASPL, do you get same one ?

One more question, does the original package (the box) also contain memory card beside original battery ? because i only received 1 8 GB memory card as a bonus but didn't find any memory card inside the box.

I got from email that it worth $49...see my previous post....then i negotiate hard...i only can get 54$ (include 10 dollar of card reader...means...44 $ for the case)...maybe i am a bad bargainer......

I just got my LX3 for $679 from MScolor at Blk 711. Comes with normal freebies but no case. Extra case is $40 for Lumix but not the moulded one made for the LX3. The one made to fit the LX3 is $149. How did u guys get it for $40/$49??

Not at all. The one in the pic is $149 and they say they haven't had stock of it fir the longest time. It has to be specially ordered if needed. The $40 one is the flat front one, looks very generic to me and did not get it. I'll wait for the better looking one when the stock comes in, either 3rd party or original. Or anyone out there letting go of their's?

The flat front one generic-looking should come free. AP is including it free in their package @679.

Any idea what the free case is like, as compared to the 'third-party' case that everyone is paying $40-$50 for?...

Isn't this case that everybody's paying an additional $40-$50 for, included for "free" as part of e whole package very early on? U mean now ppl are paying $67x for their LX3 packages but the case is charged separately?

It's not one that's not molded exactly for the lens but has a curved front and still has the tripod "mount" right?

after so many weeks (months ?) with this and other I Love LX3 theads still staying so hot ....... pretty soon they will not throw in memory card and mini tripod too ! :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Long overdue .......LX3 seems destined to become one of those rare digital PnS/prosumer cameras that will acheive cult camera status ..........LOL !

Heard that the Leica CF-22 flash for D-lux 4 which allows for TTL is arriving on our shores next week. It'll be cross compatible with the LX3 too. Only thing is, price is $500+...
