also remember watching "battle of manchuria" many many years ago with my uncle. it was a very disturbing movie with actual war footage of japanese atrocities in china.

Battle of Midway! been trying to find dat DVD for the longest of time. watched it with my dad nong nong ago.

mine will be:

Battle of Midway,
Platoon,
Saving Private Ryan,
Band of Brothers (have the book and the DVDs)
Hamburger Hill (starring Clint Eastwood when he was much younger)
All quiet on the Western Front (BnW flick)
The Eagle has landed (both the book and DVD)

still trying to find Das Boot in DVD.... :think:

Das Boot I saw at the library @ esplanade a long long time ago. But I can't find it now.

If you guys are into old films (as a whole), $21 for library premium membership allows you to borrow 4 dvd from library@esplanade for 1 week each time, can return at any other library. Very worth :thumbsup:, I notice a lot of people in Singapore don't know, or can't be bothered to check it out. What a waste, when it's not bad, at such a price.
