What's the point of having kids?
seriously i think most people have kids for selfish reasons - so that their children will take care of them when they get old.
Or simply not as cute? I have an uncle whose not-so-adorable child is constantly compared (and contrasted) to a far cuter baby belonging to another aunt. Do you know how terrible it feels?
People also dun want kids for selfish reason - want to keep money for themselves , dun want the trouble and responsibility , want freedom for themselves. Don't u think so too?
I probably won't have kids too, becos of a single most compelling reason: fear of what they may turn out to be. Its easy to like kids when they are cute and cuddly, but what if they aren't? Down's syndrome? Autistic? Abnormalities?
No chance of it happening to u? Pls don't count ur chickens before they hatch.

What if they fall into bad company when they grow up? Not as smart? Not sociable? Not athletic enough? Dropout of school?
What if they abandon you when you are old and defenceless? YOU NEVER KNOW.
No offence to anyone, and not to discourage anyone from having children, but at least for me, with so many uncertainties in life, the reasons for having children simply becomes less compelling.

Recently, I had a chat with my bro.
He's very determined to not have a kid.
And so, I keep probing him.. why?
And he said.. he's been asking around ppl around him the question
"What's the point of having a kid?"
The more i pondered, the more i think,... seriously, is there a point??
Is loneliness a good reason? (seems like it's a fear, rather than a reason)
To keep the marriage? (that seems even more like insecurity than anything)
To follow crowd?
Because that's what everyone does??
Hmm.. does anyone have a good answer to this question?
just remember
how you treat your parents today
will be how your child will treat you when you grow old
kids learn from their surroundings, you can control that
If 100% of people on earth dun want kids, whAt will happen in 100 years later? The earth will be void of humans and only contains animals and plants. And no one to do landscape, animal, floral photography!
