A little excitement for omds? Om5 MK2 entry level range. New menu, "night shot" low light focussing aid, pre- capture but no subject detection. Video suck but hey it's entry level for first timers coming from smartphones. IP53 splash resistance. Small travel camera.

The current camera market is actually quite saturated with high end mirrorless SLRs.
The upgrades on the flagship models of the Big 3, Canon, Nikon and Sony seems to be minimal upgrade, sometimes the sensor is not even upgraded, eg. Sony A1ii is still using the A1 Mark 1 sensor. Hence, professionals and serious hobbyists with their flagship models working well for them may not even upgrade.

The remaining market is the entry level market, which Fujifilm seems to be targeting well.
The OM-5ii is a entry level model, hopefully it has enough unique features to persuade new users to go for it.
For me, when I look at a camera systems, the available lenses is the most important, as this would determine how I would use a camera.
For example, if I am into MACRO, I would not choose a Sony (Sony only has 1 outdated 90mm Macro).
Yes, I can use 3rd party lenses BUT have to bear with some inconveniences like manual focus or no focus stacking etc.

Hence, the OM-5ii is actually a very good proposition, with the large number of M43 lenses available from OM and Panasonic.

I know a lot of ppl find it "obiang" / too loud or oldish
but I personally prefer the Golden tone one.

No.... I am not going to buy it.
Not because it is no good, but because I already have the OM-1 and OM03.
Will not have much chance to use the OM-5

If only the reason is as simple as manufactured scarcity and business tactics. These comments assume that all is as should be and that making things are as easy as 1+1= 2. People have no appreciation of what it takes for a product from concept to retail shelves. So before commenting appreciate the reality.
