Garion said:The 135mm f2 and 200mm f2.8L offer the best image quality, but the 70-200 f/2.8L IS is more useful in situations like u said where u cannot "zoom" with your feet, it is really up to what you want to shoot and in what circumstances, if you feel u will have more freedom to move around choose the primes, but if you need versatility and convenience factor, go with the zoom. YMMV.

If its true, the 300mm f/2 IS is gonna be one heck of a lens. Put extenders, you can have 420mm f/2.8 or 600mm f/4. Nikon has a MF 300mm f/2, and the size (and price) is  Very expensive too.John Tan said:If the rumours are true:
200mm 1:1.8 IS L
300mm 1:2 IS L

Quite true...must be damn expensive & heavy...unless DO again...Garion said:If its true, the 300mm f/2 IS is gonna be one heck of a lens. Put extenders, you can have 420mm f/2.8 or 600mm f/4. Nikon has a MF 300mm f/2, and the size (and price) is  Very expensive too.
wow.....600mm f2...agape01 said:The only difference is that when used on a D2x, the 300 f/2 lens will automatically become a 600 f/2 lens. ;p
The 50mm/f1.4 is a very good piece of lens, love mine.Ave said:My list is the shortest because I only have access to a single lens now :bsmilie:
350D
Canon 50mm f1.4 USM
Seriously considering:
Sigma 150mm f2.8 Macro
100-400L

Ave said:Ok I have the same lens so obviously I have to agree :bsmilie:
But seriously, the bokeh is simply amazing. Obviously there are other lenses such as the 135L or 85L that will turn out better bokeh but the 50mm is much more suited as a general walkaround lens.
