What is your favourite photography magazine?

I've bought the April issue of PDN, which was a good read. The May didn't really excite me though it's packed with plenty. Normally I'm a magazine junkie, and if the topics are interesting I'd grab them - PP, Digital Photographer, Digital Camera etc.

I just got the May issue, loads of picture to look and appreciate. Just wondering

1) Where do can I normally find this mag ? I bought it at Tanjung Pagar MRT magazine shop, any other major bookstore that carry this ?

2) When does it normally come out ?

Digital Photo magazine (not the same as Digital Photography). I believe it is done by the same people that put out Digital Photography. Each issue is basically a series of mini-projects and comes with a dvd with videos that take you through some of them.

...used to like Practical Photography when William Cheung still the editor. I think he's editor of Photography Monthly now.

William used to team up with another brit before he became chief editor... now THAT was better...

Williams very well-rounded... haven't read his stuff recently so not sure...

another i used to get alot of help from was Photo Answers... really for newbies... but soooo.... helpful... very encouraging mag.... i dug up some old copies and was glancing through...

Photo Answers has very few ads and is not slanted towards any advertiser/brand...

just noticed that they have a webby too... haven't checked it out though...

another source of inspiration is National Geographic and some old periodicals... almost no ads in those...!

Digital Camera Malaysia. It borrows 80% of the articles from DC UK and it costs only RM9!!!!! RM8 if you subscribe

i find this china photo mag 人像攝影 very information & teach you a lot of technique... their photography skill are very good indeed... they don't loose out to the west.

the only problem is the mag is in traditional chinese... but who cares... i enjoyed looking at the photos in the mag... very inspirational.

to be honest, all these consumer magazines are chock full of ads and contain information that can be easily procured online. some of their online resources beat the actual mag itself.

i personally like 'aperture', it's not on the list.
