You should add a F-3X   small compact for short daytrip. I just got the domke shoulderpad.. shiok.. a must have

Anyone owns a J3 and feels they need a bigger one :dunno:

The hard cushion came with the bag....
:)
But not its been replaced by another softer cushion.
haha...its actually the middle divider of my lowepro compact AW.
Since i ditched it for the Domke, the middle divider, when left in the bag is useless.
So..I decided to use it as the bottom cushion...

Billingham bags are good.But expensive.
However I still prefer the ergonomics and design of the DOmke bags more. =D

Billingham bags feel a bit stiff to me. But I like the classic look.

oh I got you now :bsmilie: I found the divider useless too and have since throw it somewhere :dunno: I have to dig it out and do the same

Which domke bag you guys use when you bring out your 70-200f2.8 IS? Can a J2 house it when put vertical?

My f2 can.....the J2 is about the same dimensions right?

yes.. it should be around same dimension.. though I think J2 has more paddings. Thanks... preparing for a f2.8L IS

anyone find the metal hooks of the domke a lil ''lecheh''?
Thought of replacing them with buckles....

Yes, the metal hooks will rust. Furthermore, it hits the LCD on my cam which freaks me out every time.

to answer the question in the title post.. i guess since my only domke is the F3X, it would be MY favourite.. :p

anyways.. i was wondering how the experts here pack their bags.. i've not been able to find the 'best' method.. do u guys put ur lens facing down mounted or just sitting down? in the bag? etc...

hope to see how the experts do it.. :)

yes, indeed.. everytime have to press on those metal hooks.. and the metal got scratched... I will be nice if it has stronger velcro like crumpler (and plastic buckles) :sweatsm: Maybe not pro lor if like that :bsmilie:

I am no expert but I own F3X. I use this bag when I only bring 1 or 2 lens out + Flash. I remove the centre partition. Put my camera with mounted lens (sitting there). The flash will be on 1 loop and another lens on another loop (facing up). Nice and compact

yes the J2 can

the difference between the F2 and the J2 is the height
the J series is a little taller
