now this is interesting when you quote saying no use lens on crop bodies, i personally find 35mm on a crop body is a better companion if compared to a 50mm (one is wider allows you more creativity while the other is much tighter in most situation especially indoors)

Ya, useful for u.. But useless for me.. Agreed.. My only 2 lens is a 24 n 50.. Uses them 50% each all the time.. So if I were to slot in a 30/35mm.. No meaning for me ma.. Right.. It's really neither here nor there focal length to me (only me)

ok, probably cos 35mm is too close to your 24mm and 50mm

i used both 35mm and 135mm so the difference is bigger.

So you think that the internet is biased? You need to develop decernment buddy and learn the difference between fact and opinion.!

Anyways as to your question about 35mm and 50mm. This very basic question is about field of view. One of those very big introduction to photography books will have information on focal length and how your photo will look at 35mm and 50mm. Available from the library.

How come never read / research first then buy expensive camera and kit? And then come here ask simple easy photography 101 question, you not scared look super noob huh?

Better look super noob than be super noob for life.
It can be difficult to distinguish fact and opinion. Quite often it's just a matter of opinion as to which is which.
It took me a few weeks before I realised Ken Rockwell had to be taken with a pinch of salt. So yes, internet can be biased if you don't know where to look.

Don't knock someone who's already down.

Guys,

Just bought a 35mm f1.8 Nikon lense yesterday.

Took a few shots for my family.

Really sharp!

We all love it!!
