It is not as if I was making a point blank obvious statement by itself. It was part of an explanation to explain the issues faced when using a ballhead to take panoramas as opposed to 3 way heads. Because of the (obvious) fact that ballheads cannot move in locked planes, the only way to take panorama shots with ballheads is to pan the head itself Acratech/Arca Swiss style.

Please don't take my points out of context to make smart alecky comments.

Wooo...... getting touchy here aren't we. Sorry to have hurt your feelings. Thought it was pretty obvious that its was all in good fun. Then maybe, with the obvious reaction, its not that obvious afterall.

:dunno: Trust me, I'm having fun too, knowing that you have to resort to under the belt sacarsm to withdraw from this debate.

Debate? You consider this a debate? What substance would this debate constitute with fragments of obviousness scattered all over?? If you insist, ok then................ I declare, Daniel, the Almighty Victor. How's that? Happy now? Can sleep better? Give me a break man. Geez......

Well, well who's getting touchy now??
Anyway I prefer to use more neutral terms like "debate" as opposed to an "argument"

Me touchy? You obviously haven't seen the other thread yet. I do get touchy at times but definitely not over some some silly bicker which(no offence intended again) seems so precious to you.

If this is your source of contentment and gives you an euphoric feeling of actually achieved something then by all means, go for it.

Sure it looks like one, but if you look carefully at the pic, the label doesn't look like it says "141" leh. Hmmm..... :dunno:

The Manfrotto QTVR (Quicktime Virtual Reality) head is a monster (looks like it weighs 1 kg) and cost $500+. All it does is to align the centre of your image plane (i.e. the digital sensor or film plane) over the axis of rotation. Totally unnecessary, since most SLRs (well the huge head looks like it's meant for SLRs) have the tripod mount at the lens centre line.

The 141RC it is 1Kg too , and the tripod is another 1.7 Kg ,in total the all set is as 2.7 Kg ..

Just for your information the Manfrotto uses other part numbers for the US and other in Europe and rest world .
So the 141RC head is as : Bogen 3030
And the basic tripod 190DB (B=black) : Bogen 3001

Looks like the only person who is getting emotional over all these "brickering" is you.

Then maybe it's 2kg, coz it definitely looks twice as big & heavy as the 141RC.

Yes, that is the 141RC 3 way head. The strap is optional. I've got one for sale if you're interested.

Do you own a shop with photographic equipment ?
