1K - unlikely soon, but ~1.5K would be reasonable for a 3-years-old digital camera. 20D, which was half price of 5D, is now worth what, $700-$800?

For me, that has to be a FF DSLR and provided its affordable. Hopefuly the 5D Mk II or the 7D are below $3500. 1 Ds MkIII definitely out of my league.:cry:
Lenses wise, I am more or less already very happy with what I've....but one will never knows.

Currently using a 400D (bought Apr '07), not planning to upgrade my body as I'm still very much an amateur...

Plan to buy a prime lens. Most probably EF 50 mm f/1.8. Gotta wait for Chinese New Year first lol...oh and, BG-E3 battery grip for the 400D.

Currently using:

EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6
EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
