I think metal screw hood for 50mm is better than rubber collapse. Ask FW for advice

its VERY worth getting :thumbsup: it was permanently fixed on my K-X and now, my K-5.

Teleconverter: Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter. Where in SG can buy ?

i'm surprised so many people want the teleconvertor. is it a case of want it because you cannot get it, or want it because you need it?

coz i got it when i was in Japan...and haven't really found an opportunity to use it. macham like waste money...could have used the money towards a new lens or body...

u post in buy / sell to allow someone to soothe their LBA lor... can free up cash for yourself to buy lens some more :bsmilie:

thinking about it...like seriously no chance to use. only use I can think of is if I have a 300mm f4 then this makes it a AF 510mm f6.8. Even then, still have to take into consideration degradation in IQ.

kinda regret buying...but now buy liao dunno sell or not...coz sell liao later how to buy back? go Japan again? hahahaha

u just don't understand the inner conflict of someone who has LBA

and some things, like the F1.7x TC is quite rare and hard to find... not to mention that its actually a very impressive piece of equipment... definitely must think twice before selling.

u have to know it before passing such prompt judgement

Depends on what you shoot mah... it'll be a good addition to the 300mm f4.5 to make it a 500mm f7.6 (roughly?), will be good for birding. Probably gives equal or better IQ than the Bigma or Bigmos at f8, and certainly lighter and smaller overall.

I ended up using it more for novel uses than just to extend range on long lenses.
Macro; x1.7 to macro lenses; AF for macro setup w/ extension tubes that would take away AF; stand in 135mm coupled with a M85/A50/etc; and of course matching it with long lenses of course.
