Thanks Wiz, I think my choice is leaning toward Nikkor 12-24 DX. And it can be used on film camera too. Heard I remember correctly after so much reading.....

The image produce by a 18-70mm kit lens ex and a 17-35mm lens. Both shot at 35mm f4. what will be the different in the image?

17-35 will be sharper, gives more detail ... actually don't think i can tell unless u do a 100% crop ...

Well, I am not sure I am correct......once you shot something like in their hundreds(photos)......not sure you got the time or the mood to correct them with PS lor.
