cos u never turn off powerpoint? but also quite unlikely. i think your motherboard or power supply unit may be the cause.

if your hdd still cannot be powered on, then i think its gone liao. to retrieve back data for a dead harddisk will require professional data rescue company to do the job which will cost at least $1K. :sweat:

these are some redundant checks but it might give hope.
did you try the harddisk on another PC?
check if the harddisk jumper set correctly.
check the pcb board on the harddisk if there's any black mark? like burnt marks.
