harddrive? as in the entire harddisk or just a partition?
and how did that happen? what were you doing at the point of discovery?

yes the entire harddisk not partition.
was trying to get some info in the harddisk and discover it was no longer in 'my computer'

click on any hdd, den right click, properties
pop-up - den click hardware, see if the disk is there...

if not then ask for more measures liao...

ok, do you know which particular harddisk?
when you reboot, did the BIOS post screen display that the harddisk is connected?
are you able to see the harddisk in control panel, admin tools, disk management?
if all above are "no". open up your casing, can you feel that particular harddisk is spinning and feel warm? if "yes" or "no", turn off PC, unplug the IDE/SATA connector and replug again, and change the power connector to another spare one. try boot up again and see how.

Just try got ' sock ' and still not working. i think the harddisk die liao. any chance to retreive back the data inside.

yes, but still got current, don't understand why. i even unplug everything. as long as there is a metal piece there are current.:dunno:
