regarding her father's response, i want to ask two questions.

i dun know, but i have this feeling that the published "apology" is very unlike an MP, which makes me suspect whether ST removed crucial statements that might had made this "apology" more apologetic.

or rather he wasn't that apologetic and ST trying their best to cover the pothole... works both ways... esp with a interesting story like this... makes me wanna write a suspense novel...

'Elite' is the word thrown about by our govt to mean those who does extremely well in the academic aspect. I shudder to think what our world becomes when our leaders only know how to study. Apparently honesty, trust-worthiness, empathy etc...does not qualify one to be an elite. If these elites are to be our so called future leaders, i shudder to think what our world is to become. If all we teach to them are the hardware and none of the software.

Freedom of speech comes at a price and that price is that if u dare to speak out, u must have the guts to face the firing squad. That's free speech. Flaming others does not mean they are denying you freedom of speech. Obviously u can't speak without generating any amount of criticism or praise.

Our education focuses so much on the paper chase, it forgets that wat makes a great nation is the heart and soul. Is that all we are left with? All brains and no heart?

wow I must really applaude you for taking the efforts to record almost every posts I posted...maybe I did not write well enough to show what I mean, but what you say you think I say is not really what I meant...

When I write my 1st post, I did not go out to criticise the majority for not showing interest...I only say that not many ppl at her age (whether last time or now) will take an interest in current affairs in this country....

english powerful or not is not an excuse to communicate effectively ok?

If you say your english weak, and cannot be bothered to spell correctly and use proper grammer... then use all the SMS short cuts, people cannot understand you, then whose fault is it? don't blame it on your poor grasp of english, but on your unmotivated and unwillingness to learn the language properly.


It it was genuine interest in the country welfare, then she wouldn't have used all those words to spark unrest (read: sedition) in the nation; I have met more sensible teenagers than her. Coming from a well educated background and school, all the more she shouldnt be excused for this type of behaviour.
