im very sad. i almost got a Nikkor 50 1.4 AIS MF lens but the lens was fungus eaten and I had to decline. Does anyone here have one for sale, please PM me, thanks.

I got the 50 f1.2 AIS after viewing bro Cichlid's power shots. Dreamt about it in my sleep even haha. Its a lovely lens. Bokeh king and the MF ring is soooo smooth. I am sure the f1.4 AIS will be the same, so worth every bit to look out for another copy.

I have since picked up a used 50mm f1.8D for those quick and dirty street shots. I put this on my camera when I am walking around with nothing in mind. Both are my fav lenses for now.

Nevermind I will just come here and slobber over the MF Nikkors. I am currently using a Carl Zeiss 50mm F2.8 (aluminum body)...mm..i wonder if anyone is keen to trade!

i want fast fast fast lens. Zeiss is a great lens. F4 bleeding sharp... totally flare resist. 8 aperture blades... but it is 2.8. not as fast as the other CZ... but we are going off topic.

anyway i touched a moldy but solidly built 50/1.4 AIS last week. the feel is very very different...sad to say I have fallen in lust. It is a terrible feeling.

i am planning to buy a 35 f1.4 ais to compliment my 20mm wide angle. may i know which 2nd hand shops still carrying tthis lense? how much also does it cost?

One should not alway think like this. Life's short. It will be over before you know it and the question then is how have you lived it. I've attended 3 wakes this past 2 weeks. The youngest who passed on suddenly without warning was only 52!

So let someone else worry about the milk tins and go for your 1.4 AIS. You will be so happy with it - just think of all those razor sharp feline photos you are gonna take with creamy background bokehs.
