Went to Night Festival at SAM last night, and here are some shots taken there. All are taken with D300s and the 105mm f1.8 AIS mostly wide open. The 105mm is really a great stage lens, and the feeling is damn good when u nail the focus wide open.IMO the glow from this lens wide open adds to the atmosphere of the shots.
Saw another photographer using a 180mm f2.8 ED AIS on a canon body, diden get to speak with him though.
Converted in viewNX, no sharpening at all.
Natalie Hiong performing. Great performance, her vocals were quite good.

The shots are great. I also some Nikon primes and can only use it on manual mode on my D5100. How do you add in a spot focus screen as I find difficulty focusing. Thanks.

Wonder if it is ok to post the photos in 2 different threads?
D800 and Nikon Lens Series E 75-150mm f/3.5. I carried this lens instead of the AF 80-200mm f/2.8D or my Ai 80-200mm f/4.5 to save on weight during a recent trek up the mountains in Kashmir.
Results of the lens were nothing less than astounding! Glorious manual focus lenses!
I put 4 layers of scotch tapes at the bottom barrel to give the zoom the tightness I like, and remove them as soon as I got home.
