We love our manual focus Nikkor lenses!

Hi guys,
I am happy to see that this thread is still being kept alive with occasional posts. I am the original thread starter ( if you don't already know ).

I started this thread in a hope that those of use who love and appreciate manual focus nikkor lenses will post pictures and share their passion for these mechanical wonders.

I have no *POWER* to moderate here and even if i did, i rather not. I only ask that you observe the title of the thread seeks to focus more on nikon made manual focus lenses and i hope that the pictures posted or discussion here remains focused on Nikkor lenses used to take those pictures.

I shot a comparison here between f1.8 and f4 for those who are interested. 1.8 has the soft filter glow effect while 5.6 is dead sharp. For this lens sharpness comes ard 2.8

The "problem" is the moment u get one u will run into situations where u wished for the other two
For interiors, the 24mm PCE is easily more applicable.

Nikkor AIS 55mm f/2.8 Micro, all shot wide open with focus on the head, so the extremities of the figurines are not entirely in focus.

Wow, the contrast and detail is amazing even wide open micro lenses has to be amongst the sharpest highest resolving lenses in nikon's collection.

Ooh rarely wander in here, just realised there's a MF thread too
Have fallen in love with the 50mm f/1.2
Though it competes for attention with my 60mm AFS
Different rendering, but the construction, oh never knew MF can be such a joy
I should get a set of tubes to eliminate the 50's drawback (to me at least) - the min focusing distance and max mag

Ah no I didn't; it was the one I kept on all the time though
Only changed when the situation required it - macro or uwa
First time travelling with an mf lens as my primary, the experience was oddly pleasant
